Course Day Rhythm

From The Yard To A Sensible Finish

Course days normally meet at 09:15 and finish at 16:30. Half days run 09:15 to 12:45 or 13:30 to 17:00.

  1. Meet at the agreed point, check medical notes, fit kit and sort transport.
  2. Warm up at the crag or on sheltered water, then build skills steadily.
  3. Half-day morning courses finish. Full-day groups stop for lunch out of the wind.
  4. Final route, rescue drill or short journey leg, depending on the day.
  5. Finish, return kit and agree the next sensible step if you want one.

Weather Calls

We Move Before The Weather Makes The Point

North Wales gives us brilliant days because it changes fast. Bad-weather moves are decided by 18:00 the evening before. We may shift open water to sheltered water, or mountain crag plans to indoor wall skills, if that keeps the day useful and safe.
