The Numbers Behind The Day

We staff for the venue, the age group and the water or rock conditions, not for a brochure photograph.

1:6

Climbing ratio for rock days and most rope-based sessions.

1:8

Sheltered water ratio when the group can swim and conditions are simple.

2nd

A second instructor is mandatory when the group, venue, access needs or weather makes one instructor too thin.
